2009 Reindeer Run 5K and 10K Runs

The 2009 REINDEER RUN is Coming to Town on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.
It will include; 5K/10K Runs, a 1.5 Mile Walk, and Kids' Runs
It all takes place at the Atlantic Ave Rec Center in Fernandina Beach, Florida
If you are unfamiliar with the location of the Atlantic Recreation Center, here are some corrected directions.

Greetings Fellow Runners and Walkers.

It's time to get ready for the 2009 Reindeer Run which will be conducted by the Amelia Island Runners on December 12th.

Our events include something for every member of the family -- starting with the competitive 5K and 10K Runs, continuing with a non-competitive 1.5 mile walk, and concluding with Kid's Runs accompanied by Santa himself.

Lots of runners and walkers get into the Holiday Spirit by dressing up in holiday outfits including Santa Suits and Reindeer Antlers. Some walkers even dress up Fido for the occasion.

The 5K and 10K Runs are within the Fort Clinch State Park on a beautiful, shaded course.

And ChampionChip timing, provided by 1st Place Sports, will be used for accurate and timely race results for the running events.

Once again, all pre-registered runners and walkers will receive a coupon for a FREE breakfast at the elegant Elizabeth Pointe Lodge.

Late Breaking News:

There will be FREE admission to Fort Clinch State Park on race day with your bib number, plus free shower facilities, (bring your own towels).

We will once again have a "Grand Door Prize" of a "Getaway Stay" at the Amelia Island Plantation, to be given away at the Reindeer Run awards ceremony! (Must be present to win, save your bib number to be eligible for the drawing!)
