Catholic Grade School Cross Country Championships
St. Michael Academy participated in the annual Catholic Grade School Cross Country Championships
at Bishop Kenny High School on December 12th, a rainy Saturday morning.

St. Michaels had eight runners finish in the "top ten" in their races. Mei Mei Register finished 4th in the girls 3rd and 4th grade 800m race. In the boys 3rd and 4th grade 800m race, Joe Lupone finished 4th and John Bogush finished 5th. Lauren Kilburn finished 9th in the girls 5th and 6th grade 1200m race. In the boys 5th and 6th grade 1200m race, Dion Thompson-Davoli finished 2nd and Christian Oliver finished 3rd. In the last race of the day, the boys 7th and 8th grade 1600m race, Johnathan Azar finshed 5th, and Alec Cutajar finished 9th. Ten schools fielded teams at this years championships. The St. Michael girls finished 7th overall. The St. Michael boys finished 2nd overall, and missed winning the championship by 5 points. |
