2011 Independence 5K
Omni Amelia Island Plantation, Saturday, July 2, 2011
More than 200 runners and walkers got the Fourth of July weekend off to a flag-waving start at the Independence 5K at Omni Amelia Island Plantation, presented by Vida Fitness. The conditions were humid but the Plantation course was beautiful. Overall winners were Adam Melvin, 28, of Marietta, GA in 17:37, and Jamie Simmons, 33, of Abingdon, VA in 20:25. Here are the official results.
