St. Peter's Church     Pancake Breakfast
The highlight of the day may not have been the running,
but rather enjoying post-race refreshments at St. Peter's Episcopal Church's Burns Hall.
The Pancake Breakfast for runners and their guests was a big winner at the 2009 Pirates Run!

group of entrants whose Pirates on the Run
was their first 5K or 10K race.

Harmony Dental Laboratory of Jacksonville sent a "krewe" of more than 50 runners! The Harmony staff participates in several races each year, so you know they're into health and fitness -- and we can guarantee the guy with his face on the flag isn't one of their patients! 		Little Pirates

The Kid's Runs are an important part of making every Amelia Island Runners' event, an activity for the entire family.

As you can see, the pirates played a large role in the day's activities.
The name of the pirate group is the Fernandina Pirates Club and they are involved in many local charity events.
