This was the 2nd year that AIR joined the Florida Striders in their hospitality area at River Run.

| Long before the break of dawn, AIR members Jill Staples and Ed Hardee joined Strider volunteers to help set up the Hospitality Area for the 33rd Gate River Run. Many thanks to ALL of our volunteers! After the 9.3 mile race, Ed returned to capture some scenes of the day. He apologizes to those of you he missed because it took him so long to get back! He promises he'll try to finish sooner next year (we'll see). | Between Striders Al Saffer and Jeff Nelson are AIR's Coach Roy Benson and his business partner John Holland, part of the volunteer 'Security Patrol' whose job it was to limit entry to only AIR and Striders members and their guests. | Jim and Renee Wauldron were part of a large group that came up from St. Augustine for the event. Steve and Maria Bruce stopped by to say "Hello." John McBrearty presented Frieda and Norm Wyner with an award making them the initial inductees into the "AIR River Run Hall of Fame." Frieda was 1st in her age-group and set a new record for 67-year-old women. Norm had announced the end of his personal River Run Streak but said he doubted any other married couple would ever complete 32 consecutive River Runs. | ||

| AIR and Striders members shared the food, facilities, and camaraderie. Stan Scarlett, Ken Bendy, and Elke Miller are big contributors to the success of the Striders. Kay Womack, James Vavrina, Keith and Gayla Poythress are AIR/Strider Dual-Members. Susan Gostage and Tom Custer kept their jackets on until the sun warmed things up. | ||
