A foggy but mild morning greeted hundreds of runners and walkers for Vida Fitness' annual Thanksgiving Day 5K at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Several AIR members were in the field, and one of them -- 30-year-old Sarah Wanzo -- finished first overall in the women's division, in 20:19. Men's overall winner was Tristian Cooper, 20, in 16:22.Taking second overall were Christopher Hallows,39, and Elsa Jaworski, 13. A one-mile fun run for kids followed the 5K. Race Director Amy Tompkins announced that some proceeds from the event would benefit the Barnabas Center. Here are the 5K results for the first 315 finishers. If you finished in under an hour, you should be able to find yourself in this photo album from the event, courtesy of Amelia Island Runners! |
