Pirates Are Coming Soon!
Amelia Island Runners' 2012 Pirates on the Run 5K/10K is Saturday, Feb. 18 -- please sign up soon! This colorful event features a route with a cross-country segment through the beautiful Egans Creek Greenway -- and FREE pancake breakfast for all 5K/10K runners/walkers! When you cross the finish line, pirates in full regalia will be waiting to award you with Mardi Gras beads! The first 500 to register get a long-sleeve techn ical t-shirt. There's a costume contest, too.

GROUP RUNS: Come on out to our next weekly group run, Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 6 to 7 p.m. under the lights at the FBHS track, 435 Citrona Drive! All ages, all abilities, always welcome -- and it's always free, with free expert coaching advice available. Walkers welcome too!
AIR GRANTS: Our club exists to promote running, jogging and walking, and we want to help others do the same. Here's a copy of our grant application with more info. The deadline to apply for this grant term is June 30.

Wear your AIR colors at the races or anywhere you like! Check our our club merchandise and then pick it up at Current Running, 815 S. 8th St. in Fernandina Beach. Current Running is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
